USI takes ninth at Illinois Wesleyan

NORMAL, Ill. The University of Southern Indiana women's golf team took ninth at the Illinois Wesleyan University Fall Golf Classic in Normal, Illinois. The tournament was played at the Ironwood Golf Course.
USI finished the tournament witha 665 (333-327) 28 strokes back of DePauw University, which won the tournament with a 632 (311-321). The Scremain Eagles were eighth after the first day, but slipped to ninth in the final results after the final 18 holes.
USI was led by sophomore Tara Wiley, who tied for 18th with a 160 (81-79). Her 79 in the second round was USI's top individual round of the tournament.
The next action for the women's golf team is only home tournament for USI this fall, the Screaming Eagles Golf Classic, at Cambridge Golf Course September 24-25.
