Eagles to host Ray Wright/Screaming Eagles Classic
EVANSVILLE, Ind.—For the second straight year, the University of Southern Indiana women's golf team will host the Ray Wright/Screaming Eagles' Golf Classic at the Cambridge Golf Course, located south of the Hwy. 41 and I-64 intersection.
The 11th annual tournament will be played Sunday and Monday and features 14 teams, including nine GLVC teams. Joining USI from the GLVC is Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, the University of Indianapolis, Quincy University, Northern Kentucky University, the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Bellarmine University, Kentucky Wesleyan College, and Lewis University.
Other teams competing include Rend Lake College, John A. Logan College, Brescia University, Lindenwood University, and DePauw University.

Leading the Screaming Eagles into this weekend's tournament is sophomore
Tara Wiley (Oxford, Indiana) and freshman
Jessica Dooley (Goshen, Indiana). Wiley is averaging a team-best 79.5 strokes per round, while Dooley is second with an 80.5 strokes per round average (spra).
USI was third a year ago in its rain-shortened tournament, shooting a one-round 323. Sophomore
Kayla Roark (Waterloo, Indiana) led the Eagles with a five-over 77 competing as an individual a year ago. Roark is third on the team this fall with an 82.5 spra.
DePauw won the tournament a year ago with a score of 316, while Indianapolis's Kristi Piepenbrink was the individual champion with a one-over score for 73.
The tournament begins at 9:30 a.m. each day, with teams starting from the number one tee on Sunday and a shotgun start on Monday. USI's players competing as individuals start at 12:10 p.m. Sunday, while the Eagles' designated five starts teeing off at 12:34 p.m.
