Eagles finish fourth at Lewis Aviator Classic

LOCKPORT, Ill.—The University of Southern Indiana women's golf team finished fourth out of eight teams this weekend at the Lewis University Aviator Classic at the Prairie Bluff Golf Course.
USI fired an opening round 331 Friday before closing the tournament with a 329 Saturday.

Kayla Roark (Waterloo, Indiana) finished in a tie for eighth after finishing the tournament with a closing round 77 and a total of 158 (+14). Freshman
Kimberly Gottwald (Ft. Wayne, Indiana) had rounds of 81 and 82 to finish in a tie for 12th, while fellow classmate
Kara Waggoner (Vincennes, Indiana) finished in a tie for 15th after posting rounds of 82 and 84.
The Screaming Eagles, who ranked eighth in the latest NCAA II East Region rankings, will have to wait and see whether they have qualified for their fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA II Tournament. The six-team tournament field is expected to be announced this week.
