Eagles tied for fourth at GLVC Championship

MARION, Ill.—The No. 19 University of Southern Indiana women's golf team is tied for fourth after shooting a 347 in the first round of the GLVC Championship at the Kokopelli Golf Course.

Jess Dooley (Goshen, Indiana) and
Kimberly Gottwald (Ft. Wayne, Indiana) are both tied for fourth after shooting an eight-over-par 80 Saturday. The two are just two strokes back of the leader, Northern Kentucky University's Sofie Rasmussen.
As a team, the Screaming Eagles are 15 strokes off the pace (332), set by Northern Kentucky. The University of Missouri-St. Louis is second with a 341, while the University of Indianapolis leads USI and Drury University by four strokes.
The GLVC Championship concludes with Sunday's final round, which is set to begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
