USI places second in Lewis Aviator Classic

LOCKPORT, Ill. -- The University of Southern Indiana women's golf team slid from first to second in the final round of the Lewis Aviator Classic Monday afternoon in Lockport, Illinois. USI finished the tournament with a two-round 645 (311-334), 16 strokes out of first place.
The tournament was won by Drury University, which shot a two-day 629 (315-314).
USI was led individually during the tournament by junior
Angela Dehning (Hazel Crest, Illinois, who was third with a 156 (76-80). She was followed by junior
Jessica Dooley (Goshen, Indiana), who tied for seventh with a 160 (75-85), and junior
Kim Gottwald (Ft. Wayne, Indiana), who tied for 12th with a 164 (78-86).
The Screaming Eagles finish the 2008-09 regular season Friday and Saturday when they play in the GLVC Championships on the Kokopelli Golf Course in Marion, Illinois.
