USI blanked by Rangers

The University of Southern Indiana women’s soccer closed out the 2002 road schedule with a 1-1 road trip after stumbling to the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, 2-0, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Sunday afternoon. USI goes to 7-8-0 overall and 2-6-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference, while UWP is 9-1-1 overall, 6-1-1 GLVC.
The Rangers struck late in the first half and led at halftime 1-0. UWP closed out the scoring with a tally in the second half for a 2-0 final. USI was only able to muster two shots in the contest to 13 by the Rangers.
The Screaming Eagles, who are still in the hunt for a spot in the GLVC Tournament, get to finish the regular season at home with three straight home games. The Eagles will host Saint Joseph’s College Friday, October 25 the University of Indianapolis Sunday, October 27 and McKendree College Wednesday, October 30.
