Homolla signs with USI women’s soccer
The University of Southern Indiana women’s soccer team announced the signing of goalkeeper Megan Homalla to a national letter of intent for the 2004 season. Homalla is the 10th player to sign with USI Head Coach Krissy Meek this spring.
Homolla lettered all four seasons in soccer at Portage High School in Portage, Indiana, and was a two-time All-District, All-Area, and All-Conference performer as a junior and senior at PHS. The native of Portage, Indiana, also helped PHS to three straight conference championships and the sectional championship as a senior.
“Homolla is a fearless goalkeeper,” said Meek. “She is quick off her line and is very confident in her abilities. Homolla will be competing for a starting position this fall.”
Homalla joins forwards Casey Alexander (Evansville, Indiana), Katie Barisano (Newburgh, Indiana), and Katie Grossman (Evansville, Indiana) midfielders Mallory Brehmer (Noblesville, Indiana) and Julie Collins (Merrillville, Indiana) and backs Laura Finn (Evansville, Indiana), Kim Hodoval (Naperville, Illinois), Keri Land (Noblesville, Indiana), and Jessica Stawick (Indianapolis, Indiana) in signing with the Eagles.
