Herrenbruck and Nicholson commit to USI women’s soccer
The University of Southern Indiana women’s soccer team announced that Laura Herrenbruck and Lauren Nicholson have committed to the University for 2004. Herrenbruck and Nicholson are the 11th and 12th players to commit to USI Head Coach Krissy Meek this year.
Herrenbruck was a honorable mention All-City performer the last two seasons at Reitz High School (Evansville, Indiana). She also was the RHS Defensive MVP as a senior in helping the Panthers to the sectional championship in 2003.
Nicholson was an Academic All-City performer at Harrison High School (Evansville, Indiana). The HHS Freshman Player of the Year in 2000 played nine season with the Evansville Elite Soccer Club and helped the team to twenty tournament championships.
“Herrenbruck and Nicholson are both hard working individuals,” said Meek. “I am very excited to have these two join our team because they will bring a lot of depth and versatility.”
The Screaming Eagles began practice for the 2004 season Monday and will have its first scrimmage of the season August 17 at the University of Evansville.
