Freshman midfielder Julie Collins (Merrillville, Indiana) put USI up 1-0 in the first half on a goal at 24:57. After halftime, USI junior midfielder Brooklyn Gant (Evansville, Indiana) scored the eventual game winner off a pass from Collins at the 52:23 mark. Collins took a lose ball near midfield and slipped a pass through to Gant for the goal. The goal was a team-leading fourth of the year for Gant.
