Collins named GLVC Player of the Week

EVANSVILLE, Ind. University of Southern Indiana sophomore forward Julie Collins (Merrillville, Indiana) was named the women's soccer Player of the Week by the GLVC after leading the Screaming Eagles to a pair of conference victories over the weekend. Collins had the game winning goal in the 6-0 victory over the University of Missouri-Rolla and the 1-0 win over the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

For the week, Collins led the way for USI by scoring three of the team's seven goals. She scored two goals and passed out an assist against UMR and recorded the matches' only goal, unassisted, in the Eagles' triumph over league-leading UMSL.

USI returns to action Friday on the road at Quincy University. The women's soccer team starts the GLVC men's and women's doubleheader at 5 p.m.
