Grossman named Player of the Week

Evansville, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana sophomore forward
Katie Grossman (Evansville, Indiana) was named the GLVC Player of the Week for her efforts in USI's wins over #23 University of Wisconsin-Parkside and Lewis University. She had two goals last week, scoring the Screaming Eagles' second goal in the upset of UWP and the game-winner in the season-finale victory over Lewis.
Grossman is the second USI player to earn Player of the Week honors in 2005. USI sophomore forward
Julie Collins (Merrillville, Indiana) has earned Player of the Week honors twice this season.
For the season, Grossman is third on the team with 14 points on six goals and two assists.
The Screaming Eagles (9-7-2, 8-5-0 GLVC) secured a spot in the GLVC Tournament with their win over UWP last Friday. The squad will play at Rockhurst University in the first round October 30 at noon.
