KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team lost a close 1-0 decision to Rockhurst University Sunday afternoon in Kansas City, Missouri. USI, the fifth seed in the tournament, finishes the year 9-8-2 overall, while Rockhurst, the fourth seed, advances with a 12-5-1 record.
The Screaming Eagles were making their first appearance in the GLVC Tournament since 2000 and posted a winning record for the first time in four years.
The Hawks scored the game-winner with just 37 second left in the first half. Rockhurst freshman midfielder Sarah Anderson scored her first goal of the year from five yards out for the victory. The Eagles were out shot 15-5 and did not have a shot on goal.
