USI falls to #7 GVSU

ALLENDALE, Mich. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team dropped an 8-0 decision to Grand Valley State University on the final day of the Laker Soccer Tournament in Allendale, Michigan. GVSU, which hosted the tournament, is ranked seventh nationally in the NSCAA Division II Preseason Top 25.
The Lakers scored four goals in the each half for the 8-0 final.
The Eagles open the 2007 GLVC schedule on the road when they play at Lewis University on September 1. USI was picked to finish sixth in the GLVC preseason poll.
The first home game for the Eagles in 2006 will be September 8 when it hosts Drury University at Strassweg Field.
