EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana junior forward Katie Grossman (Evansville, Indiana) scored twice as the Screaming Eagles blanked Kentucky Wesleyan College, 3-0, Tuesday evening at Strassweg Field. USI raises its record to 4-7-0 overall and 2-5-0 in the GLVC, while KWC falls to 3-6-1, 1-6-0 GLVC.

USI is 3-2-0 this season at Strassweg Field, but just 1-5-0 away from the home field.
After a scoreless first half, Grossman scored her first goal of the game off a cross by freshman midfielder
Julie Vaughan (Evansville, Indiana) at the 58:01 mark. The goal was the third of the season for Grossman, while the assist was the first collegiate point for Vaughan.

Alison Conquest (Crown Point, Indiana) extended the lead to 2-0, scoring off a pass from junior midfielder
Meghan Cage (Evansville, Indiana) at 89:05. The goal was the third of the year for Conquest.
The final tally came with 11 seconds to play when Grossman connected with the back of the net for her second goal of the night and her team-best fourth of the season to make the score 3-0. Cage dished out her second assist in 40 seconds on the play.

Meagan Homolla (Portage, Indiana) was credited with her third shutout of the year and made four saves.
The Eagles continue the homestand Friday evening when they host Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. The USI-SIUE match-up will be a GLVC doubleheader with the men's game kicking-off at 5 p.m. and the women's match scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
