Screaming Eagles will start year on the road

EVANSVILLE, Ind. The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team released its 2007 schedule and will open the campaign on the road against Saginaw Valley State University on August 23. The Screaming Eagles will open the 2007 home and GLVC schedule September 14 by hosting Saint Joseph's College at Strassweg Field.
In addition to Saginaw Valley State, the non-conference schedule includes road matches against Northwood University (August 24) in Midland, Michigan Division I Western Illinois University (August 31) in Macomb, Illinois and home matches against the University of North Alabama (September 19) Grand Valley State University (September 22) and Tiffin University (September 23). Grand Valley State was the NCAA Division II Tournament finalist last year, losing in overtime.
The GLVC home schedule includes a match-up against the University of Indianapolis (September 16), which was an NCAA Division II Tournament regional finalist. The Eagles also will host the University of Wisconsin-Parkside (October 5) and the University of Missouri-St. Louis (October 19), which were GLVC Tournament participants last year.
USI plays Quincy University (September 7), which was an NCAA II Tournament team last fall, and GLVC Tournament participants Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (September 9) Rockhurst University (September 30) Northern Kentucky University (October 12) and Bellarmine University (October 14).
