USI looks to get on track at home
Eagles to host Urbana and Oakland City this weekend
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team opens the 2008 home schedule this weekend with a pair of non-conference contests. USI hosts Urbana University Friday at 5 p.m. and Oakland City University Sunday at 4 p.m.
The Screaming Eagles (0-2-0) are still in search of their first victory of the year after a rough two games in the Grand Valley State University Tournament. USI opened the year with a 1-0 loss to Ferris State University and concluded the first road swing of the year with a 5-0 loss to third-ranked Grand Valley State University.
Urbana (0-2-0) is in the same shoes as USI after losing its first two games of the season. The Blue Knights opened the year with a 4-0 loss to Bellarmine University and an 8-1 loss to the University of Findlay. Friday night's contest will be the first meeting between USI and Urbana.
Oakland City (0-1-0) began its season with an 11-0 loss to Southwest Baptist University last Thursday. USI leads the all-time series with Oakland City University, 2-0-0.
