USI women's soccer signs two from Memorial
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team announced the signing of a pair of Evansville Memorial High School players – Susan Ellsperman and Brittany McCall – to national letters of intent for the 2009 season. Ellsperman and McCall are the seventh and eighth players to sign with USI and Head Coach Krissy Engelbrecht in the signing period.
Ellsperman, who has lettered in soccer and track at Memorial, was a first team All-State selection and the Evansville Player of the Year in 2008. The forward/midfielder also received NSCAA All-Region honors last fall after posting 68 points on 22 goals and 24 assists.
McCall was a four-time All-City and All-SIAC defender at Memorial. She also was named All-District as a junior in 2007 and Academic All-City all four seasons.
The pair helped Memorial to the 2008 Indiana State Championship as well as three sectional titles (2005, 2006, 2008), a pair of regional crowns (2006 and 2008), and two semi-state appearances.
Ellsperman and McCall join defenders Amanda Barch, Jessica Gates, Morgyn Graber, Taylor Lannert, and Paige Nuelle; and forward Cheyenne Bracken as newcomers to the USI squad in 2009.
