EVANSVILLE, Ind. The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team announced the signing of defender Whittnay Coleman to a national letter of intent for the 2009 season. Coleman is the ninth player to sign with USI and Head Coach Krissy Engelbrecht.

Coleman, who lettered in soccer the last three years at North High School (Evansville, Indiana), was the Huskies' captain and Academic All-City in 2008.

Coleman joins defenders Amanda Barch, Jessica Gates, Morgyn Graber, Taylor Lannert, Brittany McCall, and Paige Nuelle; forward/midfielder Susan Ellsperman; and forward Cheyenne Bracken as newcomers to the USI squad in 2009.
