Keely Porter, Women's Tennis Coach

Keely Porter enters her 18th season as the head coach of the University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team. She has led the Eagles to two NCAA Division II Tournament appearances and 12 top-four finishes in the GLVC.

Porter is the winningest coach in the history of the USI women's tennis program, accumulating a record of 157-110 (.588) overall record and an 94-55 (.631) record in the GLVC. The Eagles have placed in the top three of the GLVC in seven of the last nine years and have posted a record of 54-22 (.711) in league play during that span.

During her 12th season at the helm, Porter took the Screaming Eagles to the NCAA II Tournament for the first time after producing a 12-6 overall record in 2002-03. USI placed second in the GLVC with an 8-1 record.

The Eagles were 14-6 overall in 2004-05 when they made their second trip to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

The Eagles battled through Porter's 17th season in 2007-08 as injuries plagued the young squad. USI won five of its last eight matches to qualify for the GLVC Tournament.

She directed the Eagles to within points of the GLVC championship in 2004. USI placed second in the conference tournament after finishing 7-2 during the league schedule.

In addition to coaching at USI, Porter is the head pro at Rolling Hills Country Club in Newburgh, Indiana. She is a United States Professional Tennis Registry certified pro since 1988, with 20 years of teaching experience.

Porter, a native of Newburgh, is a 1984 graduate of the University of Evansville with a bachelor's degree in geography and anthropology. As a student athlete, Porter was the number one singles player and still holds the Aces' record for career doubles winning percentage.

Along with her duties in the Athletic Department, Porter is a member of the Physical Education Department faculty.
