USI women’s tennis stumbles for the first time this fall
In a battle of the undefeated teams in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, the University of Indiana defeated the University of Southern Indiana, 6-3, Saturday morning at the USI Tennis Courts. USI falls to 6-1 overall and in the GLVC, while Indianapolis goes to 9-0, 8-0 GLVC.
The Greyhounds took control of the match early by winning two of the three double matches and closed the match by taking four of the six singles contests. USI fought Indianapolis all the way, but was only able to win one of three three-set matches in singles play.
The next action for the Eagles will be Tuesday, September 24, when they host a rescheduled match with Kentucky Wesleyan College at 3 p.m.
