Wilhoite and Ackerman bow out of ITA Regional
Complete Tournament Bracket
University of Southern Indiana freshmen women’s tennis players, Sara Wilhoite (Connersville, Indiana) and Reilly Ackerman (Allendale, Illinois) bowed out of the ITA Great Lakes Regional in the quarter-finals Saturday afternoon in Midland, Michigan. The regional was hosted by Northwood University.
Northwood University’s Julia Goncalves defeated Wilhoite in three sets 6-2, 4-6, 10-8 while the University of Indianapolis’ Ashley Liles defeated Ackerman 4-6, 6-2, 10-7.
USI resumes dual-match action against Oakland City University Wednesday, and tournament action next weekend, September 24-25, at the Aces Classic hosted by the University of Evansville.
