Women's tennis sees changes to schedule for 2006-07
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team will begin 2006-07 as a season of change.
The Screaming Eagles play only a tournament schedule during the fall with the GLVC championship portion of the schedule being moved to the spring. New to the fall schedule is the GLVC Individual Tournament in September, prior to the ITA Regional Tournament.

USI finishes its tournament schedule in October when it plays in the Aces Classic, hosted by the University of Evansville, and in the Eastern Illinois Tournament.
Returning to lead the way for the Eagles is junior
Reilly Ackerman (Mt. Carmel, Illinois), who was an All-GLVC selection at number one singles. Ackerman was 8-11 overall, going 3-2 in the GLVC.
Ackerman returns with seniors
Kim Decker (Brownsburg, Indiana) and
Audra Bartelt (Jasper, Indiana), a 2003 All-GLVC selection. Decker was second on the team with a 9-7 overall record, 3-0 in the GLVC, while Bartelt was 7-11 overall, 3-2 GLVC.
Also coming back for 2006-07 is junior
Maggie Coffman (Sellersburg, Indiana) and sophomore
Emily Schum (Mt. Vernon, Indiana). Coffman was 7-5 overall last year, posting a 3-2 record in the GLVC.
New to the team this year are freshmen
Gretchen Cantwell (Vincennes, Indiana),
Katie Clagg (Terre Haute, Indiana),
Kyla Dorsett (Columbus, Indiana), and
Ashley Hashem (Auburn, New Hampshire).
