Eagles take steps forward, but fall 7-2
EVANSVILLE, Ind. The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team took a couple of steps forward, but lost at Flagler College, 7-2, Monday afternoon. USI falls to 1-3 overall, while Flagler is 3-2.
The Eagles got their first victory of the trip when seniors Kim Decker (Brownsburg, Indiana) and Maggie Coffman (Sellersburg, Indiana) posted an 8-5 win at number two doubles.
USI senior Audra Bartelt (Jasper, Indiana) won the Eagles' first singles match of the trip when she defeated Flagler's Chelsea Maratta at number two singles.
The Eagles continue the road trip Tuesday when they play Northwood University in a neutral site match. The match is scheduled to be played in West Palm Beach, Florida.
