USI women's tennis at Aces Classic

EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- University of Southern Indiana juniors Gretchen Cantwell (Vincennes, Indiana) and Katie Jo Clagg and sophomore Jennie LaBonte (Indianapolis, Indiana) led the Screaming Eagles during the Aces Classic, hosted by the University of Evansville.
Cantwell and Clagg both posted wins in the consolation side of the "B Flight" bracket, while LaBonte won her opening round match in the "C Flight" before losing twice in the back draw.
The Eagles conclude the fall portion of the schedule October 5 when they host Bellarmine University for a non-conference match at the USI Tennis Courts. Match-time is 5 p.m.
