USI women's tennis drops 8-1 match to Rockhurst

EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team finished the GLVC regular season schedule with an 8-1 loss to Rockhurst University Saturday at the USI Tennis Courts. USI falls to 4-13 overall and 4-6 in the GLVC, while Rockhurst goes to 15-9, 8-2 GLVC.
USI senior Emily Schum (Mt. Vernon, Indiana) posted the Eagles only victory of the match with a straight set win at number six singles.
After the Eagles conclude the 2008-09 regular season at the University of Evansville Tuesday, USI will be the eighth seed in the GLVC Tournament. The league playoff is scheduled for April 24-25 in St. Louis, MO.
