Eligibility

All students, faculty, and staff at the University of Southern Indiana are eligible to use the USI Student Health Center for their healthcare needs.

Students may join the covered office visit plan (OVP)* for a fee of $47per semester.

Students who are not enrolled in the OVP may use the center on a fee-for-service basis, or use personal healthcare insurance.

*This OVP is not to be confused with the University's insurance plan(s).

Treatment of Minors

By Indiana law, students under 18 years of age cannot be treated at the USI Student Health Center without parental consent except in true emergencies.

So that underage students with routine problems are not inconvenienced, parents are advised to write a general letter of consent for treatment at the USI Student Health Center.

Students should bring the parental letter of consent to the health center the first time they seek medical care.
