Develop Your
Leadership Skills
Strong leaders are vital to any student organization, so the Office of Student
Development Programs has developed several programs to enhance the leadership
skills of our group's members:
Student
Leadership Conference
The Student Leadership Conference
provides student leaders a chance to get to know each other and further
develop their leadership abilities. The workshops at the retreat give students
a chance to learn about important topics like motivating others, group member
roles, effective meeting planning, and much more. This event normally
occurs on a Saturday in late January.
Leadership
USI
Leadership USI is an interactive workshop designed to help future and current
student leaders develop their leadership skills. The workshop is led by a
nationally renowned leadership speaker. This event normally occurs on a
Saturday in late September.
C.E.O.
Workshops
The C.E.O. Workshops are designed to help student organizations and their
leaders to learn about the resources available to them and to teach valuable
skills that will improve the groups. From how to apply for SGA grants to
how to win awards, the C.E.O. Series is a must for any student organization.
Get Recognized!
Your group and its leaders work hard all year long. You deserve
credit and recognition for all that you do. That's why the Office of
Student Development Programs created the Student Leadership Awards and
Recognition Ceremony. Individuals, organizations, and programs that your
group organizes can all win awards. This event occurs in mid-April.
