USI Summer 2013 is here.
Class schedules are now available featuring three summer sessions and a new offer to reduce tuition costs.*

USI Summer offers college students a chance to complete core curriculum requirements and pre-requisite courses. Specialized summer travel study, summer-only field classes, and independent study courses make a four-year graduation plan a reality.

USI Summer includes programs for kids, professional development classes for adults, and many opportunities to get the edge on on a great education.

Why take summer courses?

  • Increase your chances of graduating in four years.
  • Study the world through broad selection of featured classes - from the Amazon Jungle to Hawaii, from communications to cathedrals.
  • Complete many core requirements during summer sessions.
  • Improve your GPA.
  • Take “summer only” courses in your major/minor.

Continuing and returning USI students can register now for three summer sessions:

  • Summer 1 begins Wednesday, May 15.
  • Summer 2 begins Monday, June 17.
  • Summer 3 begins Monday, July 22

*The University of Southern Indiana Board of Trustees met on November 1, 2012, and approved reinstating the full $202.83 per semester credit hour for resident undergraduate students for summer 2013. In place of a discount offered last summer to in-state students, there will be a reduced rate for those successfully completing a regular summer session course as well as taking an online course.

Under the revised system, distance learning course fees can be reduced to $101.42 per semester credit hour for resident undergraduate students. To qualify, a student must complete and pass a summer course on campus for each summer distance learning course attempted.
