Have a busy summer schedule, but want to take some summer courses?
USI Distance Education may be the option you are looking for! USI Distance Education enables students to enroll in courses that fit their circumstances or lifestyle. Courses from all five academic schools are offered and are delivered by technology such as Internet, videotape, CD-ROM, electronic mail, television, or other media. All courses have an Internet-based component, ranging from simple posting of lecture notes to complete online instruction. Course section coding indicates which technology is needed. Interested in distance education, but aren't finding the courses you need?
The Indiana College Network (ICN) may have the answer. The ICN is a collaborative effort by Indiana colleges and universities that make up the Indiana Partnership for Statewide Education. Each semester, USI joins the other partner institutions to create the Indiana College Network Database of Courses available online. Because USI is a member of this partnership, USI students are able to take distance education courses at other partner institutions. Visit the ICN website to locate distance education courses and programs across Indiana.
Need tuition and financial assistance information?
Tuition for distance education courses (whether offered at USI or taken through the ICN) is the same as for on-campus courses; however, an additional fee of $30/course is assessed. General information about USI tuition and fees as well as information about additional distance education fees is available online. USI financial assistance applies in the same way that it does for on-campus courses.
