Like the University of Southern Indiana, United Way of Southwestern Indiana has a proud history and strong traditions. The organization has served families in Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Spencer counties for the past 93 years and continues to make our community a better place to live and work. When you give to United Way, you help families in crisis, provide health care to seniors and disabled adults, and give children a preschool education they would not experience otherwise. Your gift can help feed the hungry, fight domestic violence, and mentor young adults. Visit www.unitedwayswi.org for more information about United Way of Southwestern Indiana and its 32 partner agencies.
In 2015, the United Way is specifically focusing on the ALICE story: Asset Limited Income Constrained Employee. Through research, United Way of Southwestern Indiana had determined that more than 4 out of 10 of our neighbors and friends are working hard but cannot meet all of their basic needs. There is now a goal to change the story for those individuals and families, and put them on the path to self-sufficiency. When you give to United Way, you help these efforts.
USI's 2015 United Way campaign will run through October 28.
