Honors and Awards
David L. Rice Achievement Award - recognizes the success of USI alumni who have made positive impacts on the region and beyond. Recipients receive a 10” crystal soaring eagle, a replica of a majestic eagle, the University mascot. The award personifies the vision held by USI’s first president, David L. Rice, of the enormous potential of University of Southern Indiana alumni.
Distinguished Professor Award - given in recognition of significant achievement in teaching, scholarship, and service.
President's Medalists - the highest award presented to a graduating senior.
Cooper Award - honors a USI faculty member whose work in University Core courses has been especially creative and successful in furthering UCC goals.
Berger Award - recognizes a University faculty member for distinguished community service to groups, agencies, and institutions external to the University of Southern Indiana.
