With more than 150,000 square feet, the three-level Education and Science Center is comprised of two wings.
The Torrington Science Wing joins the northwest side of the original Science Center and provides space for the Pott College of Science and Engineering. The Education Wing connects to the Torrington Science Wing and is home to the Department of Teacher Education, University Division, and Academic Skills.
In addition to classrooms and other amenities, the two wings house research laboratories, offices, computer labs, a tutoring arena, a rooftop greenhouse, three stair towers, an OSHA-compliant chemical storeroom, an atrium, the 150-seat Couch/Renner Lecture Hall, and two indoor wells for groundwater monitoring.
