Volunteer USI is an organization of individuals who care about education, the arts, athletics, and the USI community. The Volunteer USI logo represents this caring individual--a volunteer. The caring individual symbol is created from a heart-shaped figure which also has its right hand over its heart. The figure is further tied to USI by its right arm entwined with the I of USI. This acknowledges the caring aspect of the volunteer relationship.
The Volunteer USI program began in July of 1996. This is a University-wide program to recruit, place, and recognize volunteers who give their services and talents to benefit USI and its outreach activities. Since July 1996, the Volunteer USI program has grown to over 4,200 volunteers and 875,425 hours of service!
