Short-Term Opportunities
CAPE: Volunteers are needed to provide on site instruction on an as-needed basis for GED tutoring and basic literacy (evenings and Saturdays). Contact Diana Schwartz at 812/421-9866.
Ozanam: Cooking, child tutoring and office work. Contact Kim Kuhs at 812/422-2214.
AARP Tax Aid Program: Need volunteers who are willing to help with tax preparation for the elderly. Only need volunteers from January to April. Contact Bernice Sensmeir at 812/423-5993.
YMCA: Need volunteers for filing, computer work, and sports coaching. Volunteers also needed to supervise computer lab and answer questions in Youth Activity Center. Contact Molly Mackey at 812/426-6211.
Pine Haven Health and Rehab Center: Work with residents one on one or in large group activities along with cleaning closets. Contact Madonna Green at 812/424-8100.
