University Benefits

University Notes
- Access to the University's Children's Center.
- An annual volunteer recognition event will honor the service
provided by all volunteers who have at least 20 hours of
volunteer service during the prior USI fiscal year.
Volunteers will be recognized for 250, 500, 750, and 1,000+
total service hours.
Tax Deductions
- The IRS allows volunteers to deduct un-reimbursed
expenditures made incident to the rendering of services to the
University of Southern Indiana. Examples of deductible
expenses include automobile mileage, bus and cab fares, parking
and toll fees, special uniforms, telephone bills, entertainment,
and mails. The IRS does not allow deductions for the value
of volunteer time.
