Volunteer USI is an organization of individuals who care about education, the arts, athletics, and the USI community. The Volunteer USI logo represents this caring individual -- a volunteer. The caring individual symbol is created from a heart-shaped figure which also has its right hand over its heart. The figure is further tied to USI by its right arm entwined with the I of USI. This acknowledges the caring aspect of the volunteer responsibility.
The Volunteer USI program began in July of 1996. This is a University-wide program to recruit, place, and recognize volunteers who give their services and talents to benefit USI and its outreach activities.
