For the last 12 years, David has given outstanding service to the USI Athletics department. He brings a high level of passion to his role as a volunteer for Athletics. David hosts the officials at home basketball games and is known throughout the Great Lakes Valley Conference league as a person who does all he can to make officials and visiting teams comfortable. His responsibilities include setting up the locker room for officials and keeping the officials posted on court times for the teams' entrances/exits as well as the official clock. David is also responsible for the security of the officials, their locker area, and setting up the electronics and sound system of the officials' table. The GLVC commissioner requested David to be the official host of referees for the 2002 NCAA Division II Elite Eight basketball championship, held in Evansville. David performs many of the same duties for home volleyball games. David has become a friend to many USI athletes and is a past member of the Volunteer USI Council.
