Joseph W. Cannon
Volunteer of the Year 1998

Joe has given direction and leadership to the USI Varsity Club and to USI Athletics. Joe has maintained and worked the concession stand for almost every home Lady Eagles softball game during the '98 season. He is ready to cook 'burgers and 'brats, sell candy and drinks, and then clean up after the event. When he was unable to volunteer, Joe recruited other volunteers to fill the position. As a past chairman of the Varsity Club, Joe attends meetings regularly and is always ready to volunteer when needed. Joe has been the chairman of the Varsity Club Chili Supper and the Fall Festival booth. His leadership skills have been instrumental to the success of the Varsity Club Golf Scramble and the Steak Fry 'n Auction.
