The Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) $15,000 Pitch Competition will be entirely virtual for 2020 - powered by Peaqs

The 37th annual CEO Global Pitch Competition is completely virtual! To accommodate for this adjustment and expand upon the traditional pitch competition experience, CEO has teamed up with Danish EdTech Startup, Peaqs, a high-level learning game platform that combines an innovative product development process with a virtual stock market engine for real-time valuation and peer feedback. The deadline to apply for the CEO Global Pitch Competition is September 24, and all campuses, regardless of CEO membership, are welcome to participate!

“I am very happy about the Peaqs partnership, this new way of conducting our pitch competition will significantly increase the quality of the businesses launched and the proficiency in our collegiate entrepreneurs as they continuously refine and upload elements of their business model in a Kickstarter-like fashion.” – James Zebrowski, CEO – Executive Director

Throughout the competition, accepted participants will be guided through the creation of elements of their new venture profile, including: a business model, video pitch, quarterly launch plan, pitch deck and a conceptual narrative on their venture. All the while, mentors and advisors will work one-on-one with students to provide actionable feedback as they compile strong business profiles. Once the month-long process of profile creation comes to a close, judges will access the gamified stock market and evaluate each venture based on a variety of criteria including but not limited to concept feasibility, business model representation, "investability," traction and the individual’s aptitude for new venture creation.

Judges, mentors and conference participants will be able to access the exchange and interact with the entrepreneurs via a comment function and a gamified stock market. Here, ‘investors’ can allocate their funds supporting business profiles that they believe have the most promise and traction.

After a week-long judging process, twenty (20) finalists will be announced.  Each finalist will compete on the main stage at our Virtual Global Conference for $15,000 in funding. The Global Conference will take place on November 6-7, 2020 and will feature keynote presenters such as the Founder of Starbucks, and GrubHubengaging simulations, the Venture Valley E-Sports Tournament, Workshops, Chapter Awards, Roulette Networking and Mentorship.

Peaqs is offering a special introductory offer for USASBE/CEO members where you can skip all onboarding costs and only pay for the number of participants you invite to your Peaqs classroom session. Click here for more details on the introductory offer! Fill out our online form and leave behind ‘USASBE Early Bird’ in the message field along with your other comments before Oct. 15, 2020, and you’ll get access to our special offer along with a video tour of Peaqs.
