Writing is one of the primary ways you communicate with others toward common goals—in college, the workplace and the community. In this course, you will learn how to write effectively and craft messages that others want to read and act on. This course will equip you with the skills to create clear, concise and professional business documents that build understanding and gain support for your ideas. The course meets four times and will cover the following: preparing to write, collecting information, overcoming writer’s block, using business formats, revising documents and improving their overall visual appeal.
This course addresses the following soft skills: leadership, communication, confidence, ability to create and edit written reports.
This course provides 12 professional development credits (PDCs) for SHRM recertification. Documentation will be provided at the completion of the course.

“The Certificate in Business Writing course was really helpful, especially learning the best way of using words. It was helpful for us to review our grammar and the way in which we used words.”
