The Health and Human Services Career Fair helps freshman explore related career options, assists students seeking experience via an internship and/or clinical, and provides opportunities for graduating students seeking full-time employment. The fair also provides a means for health care and human services recruiters to connect with students.
Use the links on this page to learn more about the Health and Human Services Career Fair and to register. Other fairs are held on campus to recruit students from other majors, see the main event page for details. The event is held in the University Center West in Carter Hall. (Map of Campus)
The $90 registration includes one 6 foot table, 2 chairs, boxed lunch for up to 2 registered recruiters. Additional lunches may be purchased in advance for $10 per person and should be noted during the registration process. *Event maps are printed approximately two weeks prior to the fair. While tables may be available after that time, you are not guaranteed to be included on the event map, so plan to register early.
8:00 - 9:30 a.m. - Employer check-in / set up
When you arrive on campus, turn right at the circle, follow the road around to parking lot N. You will be able to pull up and unload your vehicle, we try to have student volunteers there to help you unload. There is limited parking in that area, so you may need to move your vehicle to one of the larger parking areas. When you come inside the University Center, come up the stairs or elevator to the second floor. You will pass the dining hall and walk toward CARTER HALL. (Look for signs). Employer check-in will be at the end of the hallway past student check-in.
8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. - Employer refreshments
Join us in the courtesy suite for coffee and donuts prior to the fair.
11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Employer Lunch
Join us in the courtesy suite for lunch. Please make sure you have registered for the correct number of recruiters so you all receive your meal. Two free lunches are included in the registration fee. Additional lunches may be reserved in advance at $10 each.
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Health and Human Services Career Fair
Students will come to the fair throughout the day between classes. We recommend that upperclassmen be professionally dressed, have resumes and be ready to meet with you. Underclassmen may come to visit the fair in their casual clothes to gather information about companies they may be interested in when they finish their education.
2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Tear down
Employers may wish to talk more closely or interview specific students at the Expo. If you wish to do so, you may request one of the private interview rooms we have available. There is no additional charge for this, however please let us know in advance to insure availability.
We have a limited number of tables available with access to electricity. If your booth requires access, please make note during the registration process.
