Abstract submission deadline:
Thursday, January 26, 2017,  5:00 pm

Abstract submission MUST be accompanied by meeting registration for acceptance.

Presentation notifications will be sent out no later than February 3, 2017

The Indiana Physiological Society 2017 meeting theme is "Gender impact on physiology: from cells to scientists." Abstracts related to the entire spectrum of physiology, from the cellular and molecular to the organ and system level are welcome!

Oral Presentation: 

  • Abstracts submitted by high school, undergraduate and graduate students will be considered for oral presentation.  Please CLEARLY INDICATE your PREFERRED presentation format.
  • Eight abstracts will be selected for oral presentation. 
  • Oral presentations should not exceed 12 minutes and will be followed by a 3 minute question and answer period. 

Poster Instructions: 

  • Poster dimensions are not strictly defined.  Participants are encouraged to bring a poster that has been or will be submitted for another meeting.  Maximum size is 40" x 60"
  • Posters will be assigned a number and wall space upon check-in.  Posters must be in place during the entire assigned time period.  Push pins will be provided.
  • For award consideration, at least one student must be present with the poster during the assigned viewing period, even-numbered posters from ___ to ___  a.m.(to be determined)  and odd-numbered posters from __ to ___ p.m. (to be determined)

Awards:  Several cash awards, including a $500.00 travel award, will be presented at the conclusion of the meeting.  See attached rubrics to review award criteria.
