23rd ANNUAL ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSING SYMPOSIUM
Friday April 30, 2021.
This annual symposium will focus on topics of interests to advanced practice nurses in ambulatory and acute care settings.
We are pleased to have Sally Miller, PhD, AGACNP, AGPCNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, FAANP, keynote the 2021 conference. Dr. Miller is a faculty member of Fitzgerald Health Education Associates, practices in rural health with NextGen Family Care Clinic and iCarePsychiatry in Las Vegas, NV. Dr. Miller is a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, clinical professor at the Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions and is the APRN consultant/investigator to the Nevada State Board of Nursing. Dr. Miller has presented nationally and has been published in several nurse practitioner journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Biological Research for Nursing, Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy, Journal of Primary Health Care, Journal of Correctional Health Care, and Advance for Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Miller has also served as a content reviewer for many of these publications.
Dr. Miller will be presenting the following sessions:
The afternoon will also include a Dermatology session and Medical Coding session.
Learning Outcomes: Attendees will be able to implement current effective diagnostic and treatment strategies for a variety of client health problems.
7 contact hours (5.25 hours specific to Pharmacotherapeutics)
The University of Southern Indiana designates this activity for 7 contact hours with 5.25 contact hours related to pharmacotherapeutics for nurses. Number hours of this content meets the pharmacology continuing education requirements for the renewal of the advanced practice registered nurse prescriptive authority license.
