This one-day conference will focus on the cutting-edge health information and innovative solutions needed to take healthcare delivery to the next level. Through insightful discussions and engaging presentations, leading experts will share emerging trends in healthcare information technology.
This conference will prepare health professionals to implement effective health informatics strategies in their individual professional practice and their organization. This program will be of interest to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, informaticists, health information technologists, medical practice managers, healthcare managers, health professionals, students and others whose scope of practice is related to health informatics.
A husband and wife duo, Ross and Kym Martin will be headlining the 2019 event.
Kym Martin, MBA, is from the greater Washington, D.C. area and received her bachelor of science in Business Administration degree from Bryant University while obtaining her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Connecticut. Martin leverages her professional expertise as a business development leader and personal experience as a Hodgkin's lymphoma, melanoma (twice!) and breast cancer survivor to help healthcare stakeholders understand and solve complex, "real-world" patient and consumer challenges. She embraced the “know thyself” philosophy for her physical health decades ago and continues to aspire to deepen her pursuit of inner exploration to live with a sense of peace amid chaos.
Ross Martin, MD, MHA, FAMIA, is President of 360 Degree Insights, LLC and the program director of the CRISP Research Initiative at Maryland’s state-designated health information exchange. He has served in numerous health information technology standards development and advocacy organizations in addition to serving on the board of the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). As an accomplished vocalist, musician, writer and international speaker, Dr. Martin is also president and founder of The American College of Medical Informatimusicology.
