    • Specific document requirements will be shared as soon as they are available during the Spring Semester.
    • Eligible dependents include your legal spouse and your children (natural, stepchildren, foster children, adopted children, or a child for which you have legal custody) up to age 26.

  • Anthem BlueCross BlueShield of Indiana will no longer cover non-emergency services when treated in an emergency room (ER) if more appropriate settings are available. This means that members who choose to receive non-emergency care in the ER could be responsible for the charges.  Anthem has tools and resources to help members choose the right plan for care, such as 24/7 Nurseline, Find A Doctor and Find Urgent Care and Estimate Your Costs tools.  Members should always call 911 or seek care from the ER for life-threatening situations.
  • Anthem has instituted a new approval procedure for those members needing imaging services such as, MRIs, CT Scans, etc. You should ask your provider if they are following the Anthem site of care review process to ensure that your benefit is handled properly.
  • As a reminder, Anthem BlueCross BlueShield of Indiana regularly makes additions, deletions and benefit tier changes to the drug list through their clinical quarterly review process. Medications may move to a higher tier or be removed from the drug lists during the plan year.  Members who have questions about their drug benefit can call the Member Services number on the back of their ID card.
