Kristen Wilkins, MFA, Photography

Kristen Wilkins, a California native, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art, specializing in photography. She works in and teaches both digital and film-based photography, as well as video and other new media. She received her MFA from California State University in 2006, and earned her BA with a double major in Art and Biology from the University of California. Prior to joining USI, she taught at Montana State University, Wabash College, and California State University.

Wilkins is currently completing a five year photographic project based on nostalgia and road trips; after purchasing a vintage trailer in 2009, she has traveled more than 26,000 miles photographing in 48 states.
