USI team competing in international case competition

Romain College of Business team one of only eight invited to compete

February 24, 2014

A team of students from the University of Southern Indiana's Romain College of Business is one of only eight invited to  compete in the Alberta Not-for-Profit Case Competition. The competition, billed as the "first live not-for-profit international case competition," will be held February 26 through March 1 at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.

USI will be represented by Adam Brothers, Adam Kaps, Jennifer Hicklin, and Tailor Frymire. Other competing universities are University of Alberta, University of Manitoba, University of Prince Edward Island, University of Florida, American University, MacEwan University, and Concordia University College of Alberta.

The teams will be given a real live case on an Edmonton nonprofit organization and have 40 hours to tour the facility and research and develop a business strategy. Teams will then present their cases to a panel of judges and professionals.

Brothers and Kaps have competed in previous international cases competitions in Canada. Last year, Brothers competed in the John Molson Undergraduate Case Competition in Montreal, and Kaps competed in the Royal Roads Case Competition in Victoria.
