Working with Undecided Students
In this session, we will discuss how University Division Advising works with the “undecided” student population on campus. Specific strategies and programs will be shared that highlight a comprehensive approach to helping students make an informed choice based on each student’s unique skills, interests, and abilities.

Connecting College and Employment: Now and in the Future
Learn how students can plan and search for all types of employment including on and off campus jobs. In addition, we will discuss the importance of planning early for internships and other career-related experience, as well as providing information about USI graduates and the employment data.

Campus Involvement Opportunities
Attend this session to learn more about campus involvement opportunities available to your student and learn about how involvement can impact their college experience.

College Finance Question and Answer
If you have questions about financing college, this session is for you. The staff will answer questions about financial assistance and the billing and payment process on campus.

21st Century Scholars Overview 
This session will provide a brief overview of things you need to know about your student being a 21st Century Scholar at the University of Southern Indiana. We will discuss what the 21st Century Scholarship covers and the requirements students have to meet to maintain the scholarship. How to factor in other costs and additional resources available to 21st Century Scholars will also be shared.

A World of Opportunities 
USI offers study abroad programs in over 60 countries around the world. All approved programs award USI credit; most types of financial aid are applicable towards program fees, and additional study abroad scholarships are available. Students interested in an international experience should begin planning during the fall semester of their freshman year.

Guiding Your Student through College without “Letting Go!” 
Parenting is difficult no matter the age! In this workshop, participants will learn ways to support their student during college without having to “let go” emotionally. Strategies, tools, and University resources will be discussed.

USI Honors Program and Living-Learning Community
The Honors Program gives students the opportunity to earn a University Honors Scholar Diploma and live with like-minded peers who value a good education. This presentation will explain the requirements and benefits of the Honors Program and its Living-Learning Community.

Learning Assistance Resources for Students
Academic Skills provides comprehensive learning assistance to students on USI’s campus. In this session, staff will share how we help students achieve their academic goals. An overview of services available and basic philosophy on how we work with students will be provided.

Student Support Services/Disability Resources
Is your student the first in their family to go to college? Does your student anticipate receiving a federal Pell grant? Does your student have a documented disability? Come and find out how the Trio Student Support Service Program at USI can support your student.  Students can benefit from one-on-one academic, financial, personal, and career counseling, as well as additional services and programming. If your student has a documented disability and will need accommodations while attending USI, this session will also explain the process from documentation to letters for their instructors.
