As a parent or family member, you play a vital role in your student's transition to college. We encourage parents and family members to participate in Parent and Family Orientation. You will learn about the University and its many resources and become a partner with the University in supporting your student's success in transitioning to college.
There are two main components to the Parent and Family Orientation, and we encourage you to participate in both.
We encourage parent and family members to go through this online orientation. To review all of the material it will take you 2-3 hours to complete. You have the option to fill out the intake form and it will take you step by step through the content. It will remember where you left off so you can re-enter to finish at a later time. You can also enter as a guest and you will be able to go directly to the areas you want to learn about. Online Orientation works best using the Google Chrome browser.
Screaming Eagles Parent and Family Orientation
We will be offering a separate Virtual Parent and Family Orientation session at the same time students will participate in a Screaming Eagles Orientation. We will use the Zoom platform for this session. This session will focus on meeting staff and faculty and answering your parent and family members questions. When students are completing their reservation form, they will be able to sign up parents and family members for their virtual orientation program. If they already completed their reservation form, they can add you by going back to the form and making edits.
The Zoom links for these programs will be sent in your confirmation when your reservation is complete.
