1. When is the application deadline?
The application deadline for the 2020 TCA is March 15, 2020.
1.1 When will applicants know if they have been selected?
While the selection date may change we hope to have applicants selected by March 30, 2020. If you want to apply but require an answer prior to March 30 we may be able to work with you. Please contact Josh McWilliams at email@example.com
2. What dates does the TCA run through?
The TCA will start on 5/11/2020 and end on 6/19/2020. Additionally, a date will be selected prior to 5/11/2020 in order to complete required paperwork and have a brief orientation.
2.1 What is the expected work schedule?
The TCA is a 20+ hour per week commitment. While projects may/will dictate an additional work beyond the core schedule, generally working hours will be Monday - Friday from 8AM-12:00PM (noon).
Deviations to this schedule will also include the below noted holiday as well as the final week of the TCA due to a public pitch presentation.
2.2 Are there any holidays with time off?
Yes, May 25th (Memorial Day) will be observed as an unpaid holiday. Additional hours outside of "Core' hours (8AM-12:00PM) will be necessary as project dictates.
2.3 Can I take an additional vacation?
No, as the program is only 6 weeks long it is our expectation that with the exception of acute emergency situations the outlined schedule will be adhered to.
3. Can I participate in the TCA while working?
Not during the hours of the program. Yes, you can work in the evening or on the weekends. The TCA is a 20+ hour a week commitment as described above. Additionally, hours outside of "Core" hours may/will be required by projects. Individuals will need to work with their project team to schedule work necessary and accommodate outside schedules.

5. How will I be paid?
You may choose to be paid via direct deposit or cash card (which must be picked up on campus).
5.1 How much will I be paid?
The program will pay each participant a minimum of $1,800 for the duration of the program, however up to $10,000 will additionally be made available to program participants based on project outcomes.
5.2 Will I be a USI student worker?
Yes, and subject to USI policy. More information can be found by contacting USI Human Resources.
6. Selection Process.
The selection process is multiple steps:
1) Apply online.
2) Panel scoring of applicants.
3) Possible interviews.
7. Who is the TCA open to?
The TCA is open to students at USI of any major who want to expand their innovation and entrepreneurial skills.
